Akwa Ibom Governor Eno disbands state executive council.

Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom has dissolved the State Executive Council, according to an official statement issued by Mr. Enobong Uwah, Secretary to the State Government, in Uyo on Friday. The dissolution takes immediate effect.

The statement instructed former commissioners and special advisers to hand over to permanent secretaries in their respective ministries. For ministries without a permanent secretary, the most senior director will assume the role temporarily.

The governor expressed gratitude to the outgoing executive council members for their dedicated service to the state and wished them success in their future endeavors. He acknowledged their contributions to the development of Akwa Ibom.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) noted that the dissolved executive council was inherited from Governor Eno’s predecessor, Udom Emmanuel, approximately 19 months ago.
