BREAKING: Federal Government secures the release of 100 students kidnapped in Niger school raid

The Federal Government has successfully secured the release of 100 students who were kidnapped from St. Mary’s Private Catholic Primary and Secondary School in Papiri, Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State.

The report was covered by TVC News and Channels Television on Sunday, although no official statement had been issued by federal authorities at the time.

The school was attacked by armed gunmen on November 21, who arrived on motorbikes around 2 a.m. and carried out the assault for nearly three hours. A total of 315 people were abducted, including 303 students and 12 teachers.

Within the first 24 hours, approximately 50 pupils managed to escape and were reunited with their families, leaving 265 individuals still in captivity at that time.
