Teenager held for assaulting an 8-year-old neighbor

The Ogun State Police arrested 17-year-old Jamiu Adebayo for allegedly sexually assaulting his eight-year-old neighbor in Abeokuta.

He reportedly tricked the girl into his parents’ living room, told her to remove her underwear, and then abused her.

The police confirmed the incident and are investigating. The victim’s mother discovered blood coming from her daughter’s private area after being alerted by neighbors. Initially, the girl claimed a stick caused the injury.

The mother was shocked and scared when she saw her daughter bleeding. Despite trying, the girl repeatedly blamed a stick for her injuries.

However, after further questioning, she confessed that Adebayo had sexually assaulted her.

The victim revealed that Adebayo lured her into his parents’ living room and assaulted her. He then helped her clean up, told her to change underwear, and instructed her to lie about the cause of her injuries.

The police quickly arrested Adebayo and are conducting a thorough investigation.

This is not the first such incident. In September, a 55-year-old man was arrested for raping his 13-year-old neighbor.

He also lured the girl into his room and assaulted her, causing severe bleeding. The girl required medical attention at a hospital.
